Acne and blackhead removal
Blackheads are a type of acne vulgaris that is caused by clogged pores on the skin. Eventually, some blackheads become inflamed, which causes acne and pimples. The best way to prevent acne is to prevent blackhead. Is there a good blackhead removal solution?

Preventing
Unless you were born from a family of people with perfect skin, you are bound to have a few breakouts once in awhile. For some, however, it?s more than once in a while. Blackheads are caused by clogged pores that become trapped with excess sebum (natural oil on human skin). It is a common misconception that acne and blackheads are caused by dirt and grime. The black part of a blackhead is not dirt; it is the sebum plug that has oxidized. While we know how blackheads appear, we do not know exactly why. The best way to prevent blackheads from appearing is to have a gentle but regular skin regime. The worst thing to do is to slather on loads of acne fighting products that are more likely to inflame your skin even more and irritate it. Stick with gentle cleansing with gentle products and moisturizers that have sunscreens.

Repairing
If you do have blackheads or pimple: DO NOT SQUEAZE OR PICK AT THEM. It is the absolute worst thing you can do for your skin. Not only will it cause scarring, it will also aggravate your acne and can cause other breakouts. The best blackhead removal method is to gently cleanse your skin as usual, and apply an acne fighting product topically. But be careful when choosing your topical blackhead removal product. All products are not created equal.

Active ingredients for acne and blackhead removal
Right now there are hundreds of over the counter acne and blackhead removal products that you can buy containing different ingredients. Salycic acid, retinoids, alcohol, benzoyl peroxide, mandelic acid, malic acid and other chemicals are all supposed to help with blackhead removal. The trick is to choose the one that will be best for your skin. Most of these products can cause itching, redness and irritation depending on the level of concentration. Salicic acid and benzoyl peroxide can really dry out your skin over time, so be sure to pick something that has both the acne and blackhead remover and moisturizers. Try to choose a gentle chemical like mandelic or malic acid that will not dry out your skin to treat your acne and blackhead. If possible, try to pick a product that has moisturizers and sunscreen in it also. There are also new treatments now that rely on new technology, most noticeably the new Zeno acne device. Relying on heat, this device kills bacteria and can help diminish acne and blackheads. There is no treatment that is 100% effective, but with the right information on hand, you can help decrease your breakouts easily.

For more severe acne, you should consult your doctor that can help you with prescription medication and other medical products.
